There are so many stereotypes about Italy and Italians that we seem unable to escape them ourselves. Even if there is a grain of truth in some of them, here at My Italian Circle we would like to project a different image of our people and our country. Our goal is to show how diverse Italy and Italians can be depending on the region we grew up in, the populations that passed through them, the food we eat and the language we speak.

In our blog you can read articles on Italian destinations you may not have heard before, or popular landmarks seen from a different angle, and in our Tour of Italy video series we visit Italian regions highlighting history, differences and curiosities that make us so Italian and yet so different from one another. Since teaching Italian is our main objective, these contents are all in Italian, and are accessible by late beginners/early intermediate students and beyond. Forza, follow us on this journey!

Visit Italy with Us, Region by Region

This series of videos takes us through Italian regions to visit special places off the beaten track and discover the historical and cultural richness of Italy and Italians, their diversity and the variety of languages spoken in our country. A new episode takes us to a different Italian city every month, moving from North to South.
